Vote of No Confidence is a modern Irish rebel song about the people being under pressure, from housing, farming, the cost of living, public services, political failure, rural decline, and the growing feeling that ordinary people are no longer being heard.
The song speaks from the perspective of people watching Ireland change faster than they can understand, while those in power seem distant, disconnected, and unwilling to face the consequences of their decisions.
This song questions government accountability, broken promises, wasted public money, weakened communities, and whether Ireland is being led in the interests of its own people.
From farmers pushed to the edge, to young people forced abroad, to families struggling with rent, bills, crime, and uncertainty, the song gives voice to a frustration that many feel but are afraid to say out loud.
Healthy countries do not progress by ignoring their people. They progress by listening, answering hard questions, protecting communities, and remembering who government is supposed to serve.
This song was written by me, personally, and it is very personal to me. I spoke from the heart, and I will continue to do so in other songs.
